When Eliseo Noboa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. In the 47th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boreham Wood FC were winning 0-2.

When the match was over Boreham Wood FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
