The goalkeeper, Jonathan Ferrant, was totally fooled by FC Panat's Dacian Iorgu, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Bourceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cezar Bourceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 44 in the game by Cezar Bourceanu from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Panat's Dimitris Charalambopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save FC Panat from getting a goal against them. Dimitris Charalambopoulos made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Panat made a substitution. Manuel Drăgănoiu replaced Doru Oprea. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Panat's Panait Moșneanu was substituted for Cezar Bourceanu. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Moșneanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Dacian Iorgu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Moșneanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Moșneanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dimitris Charalambopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute of play. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
