Moises Gayoso was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Peru booed when Intimos de Reynoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo De Paul didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Intimos de Reynoso's goalkeeper Ovidio Roland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Intimos de Reynoso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Julian Murillo scored to the left of an out of position Ovidio Roland, making the score, 0-4. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 92nd minute, Intimos de Reynoso's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rafael Gallo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rafael Gallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Roland having to interfere. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
