The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When John-Einar Astrup fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kovlands IF's protests and gave John-Einar Astrup a yellow card for diving instead. John-Einar Astrup hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Gregersen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Hans Lilleeng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kovlands IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. Hans Lilleeng kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 19th minute of play forced Kovlands IF's goalkeeper Leonard Gregersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When John-Einar Astrup was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. Leonard Gregersen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonard Gregersen quite easily take care of the ball. Jonathan Øren hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Hans Lilleeng hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Gregersen having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Øren came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noah Tømmervik's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noah Tømmervik helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kovlands IF! In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonard Gregersen. 0-1. In the 43rd minute, Tomas Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Leonard Gregersen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dag Anderssen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Kovlands IF's Leonard Gregersen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Kovlands IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomas Berganza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. Leonard Gregersen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 63rd minute of the match. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Leonard Gregersen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dag Anderssen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 85th minute of play forced Kovlands IF's goalkeeper Leonard Gregersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Lilleeng in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonard Gregersen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Øren in the 94th minute of play.
