Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvard Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Shen Yi Yuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 16 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Shen Yi Yuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shen Yi Yuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Shen Yi Yuan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shen Yi Yuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Stephen went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Goblins F.C.'s Shen Yi Yuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Augusto Stephen tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 34th minute of play forced Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Shen Yi Yuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Shen Yi Yuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Stephen. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Shen Yi Yuan to make any attempt to save it. Abelardo Pitta's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Goblins F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Abelardo Pitta hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Edvard Carlsson notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Stephen in the 68th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Goblins F.C.'s corner Augusto Stephen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Stephen came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vangel Hrulev during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Vangel Hrulev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Goblins F.C. booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Edvard Carlsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Goblins F.C.'s Edvard Carlsson got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
