Betinho Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breno Costa having to make a save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Wallmark in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Sandinense ADF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alexandre Amaral hit a great ball. When Burak Özdoğan came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Sandinense ADF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Burak Özdoğan couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Breno Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Sandinense ADF's Breno Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Sandinense ADF from getting a goal against them. After 72 played minutes Sandinense ADF got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Pain. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burak Özdoğan in the 75th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Breno Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Hubert Wallmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sandinense ADF had played much better football throughout.
