Christoffel Portmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Rudy Vandendriessche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Dreigoten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. SK Dreigoten's Christoffel Portmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. Emilio Cimino hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 71 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. In the 75th minute, Arnout Worteleers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Dreigoten's Quentin De Becker was substituted for Nickolas Wittemans. In the 76th match minute, SK Dreigoten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnout Worteleers to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. The supporters of SK Dreigoten booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SK Dreigoten were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
