Fumo Pocock was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Oshyros ll's goalkeeper Fumo Pocock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fumo Pocock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Joel Gaona took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Fumo Pocock to make any attempt to save it. If 孙翀轩 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute of the match Oshyros ll got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leandro Lucado ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 46th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fumo Pocock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Djamel Autret came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. Oshyros ll's François Marotte was substituted for Cristian Egoitz. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 65th minute of play forced Oshyros ll's goalkeeper Fumo Pocock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fumo Pocock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 68th minute of the match. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 69th minute. François Marotte's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fumo Pocock saved Oshyros ll from getting behind. The supporters of Oshyros ll booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Leandro Lucado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Oshyros ll's Isaac Intxixu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. 90 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fumo Pocock made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djamel Autret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when François Marotte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 5-2. Mexico walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
