In the 9th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Partemi FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Partemi FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eleuterio Mundo in the 20th minute. The corner ended in Fermin Etor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. 21 minutes into the match, Fermin Etor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-0. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Partemi FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Partemi FC's Horacio Frisco did a great save. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Horacio Frisco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 50th minute. 52 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horacio Frisco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 52nd minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Horacio Frisco. Partemi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eleuterio Mundo made a great header on Partemi FC's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Horacio Frisco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Partemi FC defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Frisco. The Partemi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Frisco should have stopped the shot. Horacio Frisco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Horacio Frisco made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Partemi FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chip Froggatt, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Alberto Tafalla rounded Partemi FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Horacio Frisco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 87 minute of play. Partemi FC's Honorio Basajaun was substituted for Panos Paschalidis. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Horacio Frisco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Partemi FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
