Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Barnaba Blochowiak got the match started through his kick off. Kazimierz Falkowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brokopondo's Mauro Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barnaba Blochowiak. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Kazimierz Falkowski came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Brokopondo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kazimierz Falkowski couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wieslaw Kalak got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Barnaba Blochowiak scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Bejrut. In the 38th minute Brokopondo were awarded a corner. Kazimierz Falkowski went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Brokopondo's Kazimierz Falkowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Wieslaw Kalak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brokopondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Wieslaw Kalak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brokopondo's Che Guevara was substituted for Kazimierz Falkowski. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56thth minute of the game Barnaba Blochowiak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Blochowiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Kalak in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Barnaba Blochowiak who took care of the corner kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wieslaw Kalak in the 69th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Barnaba Blochowiak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 78th minute Barnaba Blochowiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Brokopondo booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Brokopondo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
