After a rather tough play, Sheriff's Cristiano Cordone got a free kick in the 77th minute. Canada made a substitution. Prince Anderson replaced Carter George. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Xacintu got free with Jax Williamson in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Filip Edwards made a precise shot to the right of Yahia van der Saar. Sheriff's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. There was no doubt that Canada were the better team. Canada's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
