Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Balboa A.f.c.'s Leonides Larpe. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Larpe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 20 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulises Selmo who took care of the corner kick. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Leonides Larpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Balboa A.f.c.'s Ulises Selmo got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Leonides Larpe however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Mannuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Balboa A.f.c.'s Leonides Larpe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Balboa A.f.c. from getting a goal against them. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Ulises Selmo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Balboa A.f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Selmo couldn't finish the play. When Daniel Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Daniel Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Balboa A.f.c. were awarded a corner. Ulises Selmo went to the cornerflag to take it. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Balboa A.f.c..
