Notis Filippas was slow to take the kick. During this time Sheriff's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sheriff's corner Notis Filippas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jax Williamson quite easily take care of the ball. Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rohan Watson in the 8th minute of play. Damaso Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jax Williamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yahia van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rohan Watson in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sheriff's Natalio Dominguez got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Carter George managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carter George was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yahia van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rohan Watson in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Canada were awarded a corner. Koby Wright went to the cornerflag to take it. Rohan Watson made a great header on Canada's corner, it was just that Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar managed to reach the ball for a save. Yahia van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Xacintu in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clayton Gol got free with Jax Williamson in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Koby Wright ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The corner led Sheriff's Natalio Dominguez to fire away a dangerous shot which Jax Williamson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Xacintu in the 89th minute of play. When Filip Edwards came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Canada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Edwards couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prince Anderson in the 92nd minute of play forced Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yahia van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 93rd minute of the match. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Gol in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Sheriff got a corner. Canada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Akakios Trachanas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Akakios Trachanas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jax Williamson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 98th minute Theo Burton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sheriff fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canada were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
