Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Vicente Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. If Primo Sans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primo Sans. 1-1 became the score in the 26th minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Primo Sans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 34th minute, Primo Sans made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primo Sans got free with Julio Vera in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Primo Sans tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play forced Academia B.F.'s goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Primo Sans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Primo Sans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Primo Sans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Primo Sans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute of play forced Academia B.F.'s goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primo Sans struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia B.F.. 60 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Primo Sans came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Academia B.F.'s Primo Sans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vicente Catarinense was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 2-2. Academia B.F.'s Michel Totti was substituted for Primo Sans. In the 79th minute Academia B.F. were awarded a corner. Josué Godoi went to the cornerflag to take it. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Vicente Catarinense made a huge save. Vicente Catarinense was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 2-3. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Academia B.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vicente Catarinense in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
