Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Cassius Byrne made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zach Harrison came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Shi Ming Sheng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Shi Ming Sheng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammet Altın in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shi Ming Sheng in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valeriu Morovan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 21st minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Morovan came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shi Ming Sheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu got control of the ball when Edward Mcdonald tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ming Sheng came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Crețu made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Martin Crețu was a little too slow when Jacob May got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-0. Diego Bradley made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stiinta-Univ.'s Benjamim Urbano. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stiinta-Univ. made a substitution. Okan Koc replaced Muhammet Altın. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valeriu Morovan made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Stiinta-Univ.'s Valeriu Morovan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Day. Marco Day yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Valeriu Morovan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marco Day firmly grabbed it by the left post. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okan Koc in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of USA booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shi Ming Sheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Okan Koc got free with Marco Day in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Stiinta-Univ.'s Okan Koc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marco Day. That made the score 1-2 after 62 minutes of play. In the 69th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cassius Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Campbell in the 79th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shi Ming Sheng in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see USA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
