Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 3rd minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silverio Corderun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Waldir Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waldir Urbano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 17th minute. Silverio Corderun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Andino's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Tasso FC's León Zambrano got a free kick in the 24th minute. Tasso FC's Silverio Corderun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 29th minute of play. Silverio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play.

After 52 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Corderun was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Waldir Urbano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir Urbano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. 60 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Waldir Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Waldir Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Urbano in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Corderun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tasso FC's Normando Fiúza was substituted for Waldir Urbano. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Silverio Corderun made a huge save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Corderun having to interfere. Normando Fiúza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Normando Fiúza, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Normando Fiúza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Juca Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Juca Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ecuador players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
