Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Grau in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Tafalla's late challenge caught a Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Tafalla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zhao Sen Yang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 42 minute of play. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Stasio Bienienda sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 92nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhao Sen Yang's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The supporters of Colombia booed when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Grau didn't get a good kick on the ball.
