Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abram Sarmiento kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Damaso Xacintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Damaso Xacintu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. In the 23rd minute, Clayton Gol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-1. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Gol in the 32nd minute of play. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Dragoş Bălace made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute Damaso Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sheriff's attack was well implemented in the 39th minute, but when Damaso Xacintu was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 44th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. Luis Cazalla made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar managed to reach the ball for a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Clayton Gol made the kick off in the second half. Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yahia van der Saar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yahia van der Saar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar. Yahia van der Saar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 65 minutes into the game, Sheriff's Clayton Gol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Samuel Navarro charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Navarro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Navarro to maneuver through the defense. If Damaso Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sheriff's Notis Filippas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Cazalla in the 77 minute of the game. Abram Secada might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yahia van der Saar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Secada ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Colombia's Ignacio Mastache fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Gol in the 83rd minute of the match. Clayton Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. Clayton Gol took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Colombia succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Sheriff had controlled the match.
