An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play forced Tarada's goalkeeper Henrick Zeier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrick Zeier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Adam Wielowiejski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Wielowiejski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Daniel Zorita scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrick Zeier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Arthur Hengemühl tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henrick Zeier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute Adam Wielowiejski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Hengemühl. Henrick Zeier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 35 minutes Tarada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Wielowiejski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Eichelberger charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Eichelberger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcel Eichelberger kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Tarada made a substitution. Massimo Wechsler replaced Leif Kohler. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stian Aarflot in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrick Zeier having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Wielowiejski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Henrick Zeier made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Wielowiejski in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Wielowiejski in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stian Aarflot in the 74th minute of play. Stian Aarflot's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stian Aarflot helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Tarada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stian Aarflot to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Wielowiejski, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Tarada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Juan Sebastián Puig heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 91st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 97 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Hengemühl came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tarada support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
