Dariusz Kostrzewa struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WZG Sandomierz. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of WZG Sandomierz booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wincenty Bielecki was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After some careless play in the WZG Sandomierz defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wincenty Bielecki. The WZG Sandomierz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wincenty Bielecki should have stopped the shot. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Zdzislaw Purzycki got a free kick in the 34th minute. Zdzislaw Purzycki hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Wincenty Bielecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in WZG Sandomierz's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wincenty Bielecki came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wincenty Bielecki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Damian Cichowski kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Napoleon Odachowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Napoleon Odachowski got a free kick in the 60th minute. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wincenty Bielecki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Roch Marosz put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roch Marosz in the 74th minute of play. A hard shot 79 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Wincenty Bielecki managed to make a qualified save. WZG Sandomierz's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Patricio Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wincenty Bielecki. That made the score 2-3 in the 86 minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Wincenty Bielecki. WZG Sandomierz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roch Marosz in the 97th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
