The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikos Sterpis was the one to do the kick off. In the 87th minute, Markos Seremetidis made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Markos Seremetidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Ajax's supporters rose to their feet, but Markos Seremetidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 minutes, Markos Seremetidis made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. AFC Ajax's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
