In the 13thth minute of the game Jairo Guifre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Puch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Guifre in the 21st minute of play. Roch Puch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play forced AS Monaco FC's goalkeeper Roch Puch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roch Puch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Puch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roch Puch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Ştef in the 37th minute of the match. Avram Ştef could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 45th minute of play forced AS Monaco FC's goalkeeper Roch Puch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roch Puch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Mexico booed when AS Monaco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszko Mierzwa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludomil Galagan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, AS Monaco FC's Jagan Van Landschoot seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jagan Van Landschoot the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AS Monaco FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jagan Van Landschoot had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. AS Monaco FC's Amado Janpier was substituted for Franciszek Zukowski. In the 60th minute, one of AS Monaco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AS Monaco FC. AS Monaco FC:s Roch Puch showed great skill when he stopped Joel Gaona:s penalty. In the 64th match minute, AS Monaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zbyszko Mierzwa to maneuver through the defense. Roch Puch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 71st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Roch Puch successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jairo Guifre kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. AS Monaco FC's Roch Puch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of AS Monaco FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. AS Monaco FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
