In the 8th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Wincenty Warka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Cwajka booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zdzislaw Okropny in the 25th minute. Tata Rușanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tata Rușanu having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomil Drugi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludomil Drugi in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tata Rușanu was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute of the game Zachariasz Jekot made a throw-in which Zdzislaw Okropny played forward. 43 minutes into the game, Ludomil Drugi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zdzislaw Okropny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Okropny in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Ludomir Deput hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Zdzislaw Okropny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Cwajka's goalkeeper Tata Rușanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. After a rather tough play, Cwajka's Zachariasz Jekot got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludomil Drugi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tata Rușanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 82nd minute of the match. A hard shot 85 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Tata Rușanu managed to make a qualified save. Cwajka's players were relieved. After having played for 90 minutes, Jacek Kosel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cwajka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacek Kosel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cwajka had played much better football throughout.
