Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Sinforoso Reyes sent off a good shot on target. Abarrotz Solera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 7th minute of the match. Aycan Hidayet kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Abarrotz Solera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Sinforoso Reyes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Sinforoso Reyes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Nestor Gonzáles came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the amando iglesias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Gonzáles couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Nestor Gonzáles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcos Cotilla. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 22nd minute, Abraham Alguacil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abarrotz Solera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Nestor Gonzáles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Nestor Gonzáles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th match minute, amando iglesias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aycan Hidayet to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Nestor Gonzáles managed to get in a good position for a shot. amando iglesias's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Gonzáles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Martínez in the 43rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Ernesto Ostots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Miralles in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abarrotz Solera saved amando iglesias from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Nestor Gonzáles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 3-2 in the 47 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

In the 53rd minute, Panama's Aaron Barrios seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aaron Barrios the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aaron Barrios had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Nestor Gonzáles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. amando iglesias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Gonzáles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, amando iglesias's Nestor Gonzáles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Isidoro Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Abarrotz Solera. amando iglesias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Lorien Laredo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. amando iglesias's Abarrotz Solera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 66th minute of play. Abarrotz Solera was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Tomas Berganza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
