Per-Olof Walroth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Dallen Fc getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jim Jonasson hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Algot Kruse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Jonasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Dallen Fc's Zlatan Beck got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Strömsbro IF's zone, Algot Kruse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Olof Walroth came out of the goal and Algot Kruse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jörn Hermansson made a kick off. Per-Olof Walroth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claes Olenberg's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Algot Kruse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Per-Olof Walroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zlatan Beck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Olof Walroth was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Nils Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algot Kruse in the 83rd minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatan Beck in the 84th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Dallen Fc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
