Per-Olof Walroth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Titus Pullo's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kingpins's zone, Oskar Pihlgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Asserlind came out of the goal and Oskar Pihlgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Kingpins made a substitution. Mikael Ekeberg replaced Harry Igelström. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jörn Hermansson to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Löfskog. In the 55th minute of the match Sven Bållström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Olof Walroth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Ekeberg in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Olof Walroth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kingpins.
