In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind SSC Ambrosini's goalkeeper Björn Ekegren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SSC Ambrosini's zone, Hubert Ahlrot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Ekegren came out of the goal and Hubert Ahlrot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Björn Ekegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Tolsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to SSC Ambrosini getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Karl-Michael Ekrot hit a great ball. Benjamin Skytte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Björn Ekegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pål Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Björn Ekegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SSC Ambrosini's Björn Ekegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Tolsson in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Strömberg in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Björn Ekegren saved SSC Ambrosini from getting behind. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by SSC Ambrosini's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After some careless play in the SSC Ambrosini defense, Roger Månsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Björn Ekegren. The SSC Ambrosini fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Björn Ekegren should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KD Stiger had won after a very even match.
