Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Inocencio Raulo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. When Octavio Orlondo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the SIDI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Orlondo couldn't finish the play. Inocencio Raulo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. Inocencio Raulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. SIDI's Inocencio Raulo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Eliseo Arano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SIDI's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Raulo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SIDI's Inocencio Raulo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Inocencio Raulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Raulo having to interfere. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SIDI's Inocencio Raulo did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Raulo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Arano in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, SIDI's goalkeeper Inocencio Raulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Arano in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Raulo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute Eliseo Arano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SIDI's Inocencio Raulo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save SIDI from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Inocencio Raulo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inocencio Raulo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Raulo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after SIDI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner.
