The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 19 minutes into the game, Valeri Hadzhisotirov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cup2's Eliseo Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Gisbert in the 26th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Cup2's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Galin Hadzhiyski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Dimcho Fuskov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 4-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Martin Ødegaard's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Ødegaard helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Mello in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Téo Mello in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Joshua Secada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute.
