A collision led to Centeno getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Gogo Clodio hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ambrosio Dacio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hakan Kaan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Centeno's goalkeeper Ambrosio Dacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Hakan Kaan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hakan Kaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakan Kaan went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. If Joãozinho Quartiero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorio Matai made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Toro Halland. Joãozinho Quartiero hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Halland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 64th play minutes Hakan Kaan shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Abelardo Bernabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Centeno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Matai to maneuver through the defense. Centeno's Ambrosio Dacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 75th minute of play. The corner led Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert to fire away a dangerous shot which Ambrosio Dacio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Ambrosio Dacio threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patricio Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 79 minutes into the match, Abelardo Bernabel notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hakan Kaan scored 5-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. The supporters of Centeno booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joãozinho Quartiero's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Jonathan Ferrant - 6-1 was put on the score board in the 93rd minute. Centeno's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
