Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vito de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Vito de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 22nd minute of the match. Vito de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 24th minute of play. Sabino Vilhena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Sabino Vilhena slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Abram Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Adalberto Peres in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vito de Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 39th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Vito de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Gentil in the 42nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vito de Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vito de Godoi, 2-2. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Nietlisbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 55th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Vito de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Vito de Godoi in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Vilhena, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. A hard shot 64 in the game by Axel Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Vito de Godoi managed to make a qualified save. Matos Velhos's players were relieved. Joshua Garrido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matos Velhos's Lee Beckford was substituted for Karl Nietlisbach. Matos Velhos's Henrique Candal was substituted for Sabino Vilhena. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Matos Velhos's Özdemir Saygur was substituted for Generoso Silvino. Thanks to some nice moves Abram Secada could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Vito de Godoi however easily saved by the left post. Vito de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Kevin Mastache got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vito de Godoi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Abram Secada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Vito de Godoi made a huge save. Abram Secada in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vito de Godoi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Gentil in the 88th minute of the match. If Luis Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Henrique Candal notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vito de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 95th minute. Matos Velhos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
