The supporters of IKS JEZIORAK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonard Kiszkiel made in the 17th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Teobald Solarek immediately put the ball in play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jedrzej Japola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, IKS JEZIORAK's Czeslaw Wojtyna tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, IKS JEZIORAK's Teofil Ptaszek got a free kick in the 45th minute. Czeslaw Wojtyna hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 49 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jedrzej Japola. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th match minute, IKS JEZIORAK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Loncki to maneuver through the defense. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a IKS JEZIORAK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
