The throw-in from Juan Luis Potts in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juan Luis Potts, made in the 39th minute of the game. Valentin Ospetsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. After 39 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Ospetsu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Ospetsu. ♠ ♥ Barrio PiriPoker ♦ ♣'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Peru were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

♠ ♥ Barrio PiriPoker ♦ ♣ made a substitution. Edilberto Aballay replaced Bruno Marco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Valentin Ospetsu in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Frutos in the 66th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Hugo Pinilla in the 68th minute of play.
