Jan Gotthard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 7th minute of play forced Los Spurs's goalkeeper Roland Hock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Gotthard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Los Spurs defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roland Hock. The Los Spurs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Hock should have stopped the shot. Roland Hock came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Alan Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Los Spurs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 0-4.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Gotthard in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Roland Hock made a huge save. Chile's Pedro Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sven-Christian Zupancic, made in the 70th minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Hock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 74th minute. Orlando Casaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Hock having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Sven-Christian Zupancic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Los Spurs's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Roland Hock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
