A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Julio Chicote hit a great ball. José Augusto Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Alfredo Ferrant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Ferrant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mario Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Eliseu Chaves made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Mario Fernandino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, ViraLataCaramelo U18's Eliseu Chaves got control of the ball when Mario Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Chicote got free with Eliseu Chaves in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 39 played minutes ViraLataCaramelo U18 got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Porto. After 40 played minutes, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliseu Chaves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bolivia reached it. Julio Chicote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Chaves having to interfere. ViraLataCaramelo U18's Eliseu Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Bolivia booed when ViraLataCaramelo U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Mario Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Chaves having to interfere. The supporters of Bolivia booed when ViraLataCaramelo U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Ferrant might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseu Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Ferrant ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eduardo Fontirroig came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Fontirroig couldn't finish the play. If Alfredo Ferrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Augusto Messias during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Augusto Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
