The supporters of Venezuela booed when El CUERVO perfeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damião Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Gabirel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. El CUERVO perfeto were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
