Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ares FC -MM-'s Baal Ares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Baal Ares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baal Ares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baal Ares in the 12th minute of play. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Baal Ares came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ares FC -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baal Ares couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Ares FC -MM-'s Baal Ares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Baal Ares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 31st minute of the match Ares FC -MM- got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karadeniz Otay ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Viktor Eklund drilling the ball in to score 0-3 behind Venezuela's goalkeeper. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karadeniz Otay in the 38th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Baal Ares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Baal Ares struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ares FC -MM-. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Baal Ares ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baal Ares got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luca Jivulescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baal Ares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Pete Wray kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baal Ares in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 81st minute, Baal Ares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ares FC -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6.
