The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Kubala in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Hispania's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Arif Memduh Akova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Peru's Alonso Berganza to a score. 0-1 in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Filip Kubala tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play forced Hispania's goalkeeper Arif Memduh Akova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arif Memduh Akova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 38th minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arif Memduh Akova showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Kubala went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Kubala came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hispania made a substitution. David Chifu replaced Kaya Ulucay. Hispania's Danilo Alcalde was substituted for Gil Pais. The throw-in from Nofre Galego in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. When David Chifu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Hispania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Chifu couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Arif Memduh Akova successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rafael Gallo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Arif Memduh Akova when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
