Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Virgilio Loi took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Gaudencio Maldonado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 7 minutes, Aldo Mirande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapebicuá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Mirande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Lucian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Loi in the 11th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Cristian Dolberg sent off a good shot on target. Virgilio Loi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th match minute, Tapebicuá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Loi to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Virgilio Loi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tapebicuá's Robin Fagrell got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alberto Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Loi in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Tapebicuá's Cristian Dolberg got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Loi in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Tapebicuá's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnoldo Ignazio in the 42nd minute. Tapebicuá's Arnoldo Ignazio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Virgilio Loi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Fernando Redondo fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tapebicuá's protests and gave Fernando Redondo a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Redondo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alberto Lucian was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Loi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Alberto Lucian stood somewhat misplaced when Francisco Seco came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 61 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Alberto Lucian in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 72 played minutes Tapebicuá got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Redondo. After a defensive mix-up in Tapebicuá's zone, Jaime Cazalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Lucian came out of the goal and Jaime Cazalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Lucian made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Virgilio Loi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Alberto Lucian made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Loi in the 83rd minute of the match. A collision led to Tapebicuá getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Gaudencio Maldonado hit a great ball. When Jaime Cazalla came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Cazalla couldn't finish the play. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alberto Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Lucian came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Escribano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The supporters of Tapebicuá booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Uruguay walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
