The supporters of ViraLataCaramelo U18 booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Alfredo Ferrant got a free kick in the 42nd minute. ViraLataCaramelo U18's José Augusto Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Fernandino scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Fernandino to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Fontirroig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Dinei Guerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Freixa.
