Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vennancio Antecha started the match with the kick off. altos angeles's Christiano Santoyo got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Vennancio Antecha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Vennancio Antecha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Christiano Santoyo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 29th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd match minute, altos angeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillen Badia to maneuver through the defense. altos angeles's Ionel Cocea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 33rd minute of play. After 36 played minutes altos angeles got a freekick which was hit by Iratzeder Vascones. The supporters of altos angeles booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iratzeder Vascones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave altos angeles the free kick. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes altos angeles got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Santoyo. Ionel Cocea was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Eliseo Noboa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliseo Noboa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.

Vennancio Antecha's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vennancio Antecha helped the player get up and apologised. 81 minutes into the match, altos angeles's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Ionel Cocea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Vennancio Antecha tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score was now 1-6. altos angeles's Ionel Cocea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 96th minute of play. After 98 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. When the final whistle sounded altos angeles left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
