Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fernanco Peso made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Jon Iruegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute Fernanco Peso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernanco Pesos short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernanco Peso in the 12th minute. The supporters of Sporting Cristal booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernanco Peso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jon Iruegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Mastache in the 16th minute of play. Fernanco Peso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernanco Peso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Fernanco Peso scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 2-0. Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 28th minute of play. Fernanco Peso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Pedro Manzanares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernanco Peso's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 39th minute of play. Tobias Larsson's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Larsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sporting Cristal's Tobias Larsson got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Frank Tassotti made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 60th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Cristal's attentive Llorienzo Buenaga managed to snatch the ball when Orlando Tafalla made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Llorienzo Buenaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Sporting Cristal made a substitution. Christian Luciano replaced Fernanco Peso. 77 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Jon Iruegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Nogueira in the 81st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Iruegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Cazimir Gogea hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jon Iruegas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kevin Mastache.
