Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frank Novella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 4 played minutes Baxters Boys got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Piccioli. After 5 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Börje Albohm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play forced Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baxters Boys's Börje Albohm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Olayo in the 28th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Lendaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Johan Bäckman fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baxters Boys's protests and gave Johan Bäckman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Baxters Boys getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Johan Bäckman hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Baxters Boys's Radomir Debowy got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Börje Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aloísio Lendaa was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 53rd playminute. In the 61st minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Börje Albohm was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Baxters Boys's Börje Albohm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Baxters Boys from getting a goal against them. Baxters Boys's Christer Elg was substituted for Frank Novella. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Baxters Boys's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Felix Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Baxters Boys's Börje Albohm did a great save. In the 67th minute, Uzay Gencalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baxters Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 76 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 81st minute of the match Johan Bäckman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Christer Elg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Börje Albohm firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ennio Piccioli hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Baxters Boys to leave the ground with a draw.
