Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's Vágner Urbano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atlético Capixaba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vágner Urbano in the 6th minute. At last the ball reached Acácio Figueiredo at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Costa Rica. 0-1. Atlético Capixaba's Patrick Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Capixaba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Atlético Capixaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Atlético Capixaba's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eliseo Noboa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Romeu Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Capixaba and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Capixaba's Kaká Garcia. A hard shot 23 in the game by Axel Tasis from a close distance when the talented Patrick Teles managed to make a qualified save. Atlético Capixaba's players were relieved. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Teles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes in the game Abel Carballo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eliseo Noboa. Axel Tasis had several of the Atlético Capixaba's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Patrick Teles as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 46th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense.

Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The throw-in from Alexander Carballo in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Capixaba's Kaká Garcia. In the 63rd minute of the game Efrain Moruga made a throw-in which Eliseo Noboa played forward. Kaká Garcia hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atlético Capixaba. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Juan Rubio with Lautaro Puig as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Hugo Ferrant got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lautaro Puig. 82 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 88 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Capixaba's Nilton de Godoi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hugo Ferrant made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lautaro Puig. Costa Rica's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
