Cliff Gottschalk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Tarada's goalkeeper Cliff Gottschalk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. With a little luck, Tarada's Cliff Gottschalk got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cliff Gottschalk quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cliff Gottschalk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cliff Gottschalk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Escribano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cliff Gottschalk was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. When Franco Dreher fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarada's protests and gave Franco Dreher a yellow card for diving instead. 69 minutes into the match, Tarada's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Cliff Gottschalk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wolf Ehrenbolger struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarada. In the 74th minute, Francisco Seco made a precise shot to the right of Cliff Gottschalk. Tarada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 77 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf Ehrenbolger came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cliff Gottschalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 80th minute of the match. Cliff Gottschalk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 86th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cliff Gottschalk was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Maximiliano Escribano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cliff Gottschalk was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Uruguay had played much better football throughout.
