Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fernanco Peso made the kick off which started today's match. 6 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernanco Peso in the 9th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 12th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 12th minute of play. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Fernanco Peso scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 1-0. After 24 minutes of play, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 26th minute of play. Orlando Casaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sal Grandoso kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Tobias Larsson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernanco Peso got free with Thiago Pliego in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jon Iruegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 51st minute of play. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso. But to his dismay, Fernanco Peso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Jon Iruegas in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sporting Cristal's Claudinei Suarbol was substituted for Sal Grandoso. Sporting Cristal's Frank Tassotti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Felix Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting Cristal's Frank Tassotti got a free kick in the 69th minute. Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Cristal from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Casaus. The crowd rose to their feet as Chile's Mariano Lacasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jon Iruegas. That made the score 3-2 after 79 minutes of play. Sporting Cristal's Christian Luciano was substituted for Fernanco Peso. Jon Iruegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Luciano came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Christian Luciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Christian Luciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Luciano's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Chile's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sporting Cristal had won, even though Chile had held more of the ball.
