Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexsandro Aguiar in the 12th minute. Murilo Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 15th minute of play. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Colombia's Axel Montenegro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Dias in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexsandro Aguiars short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 32 minutes into the game, Santino Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Murilo Ferreira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Colombia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abelardo da Fonseca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Wei Sha in the 36th minute of play. When Buritama Sports's Abelardo da Fonseca, in the 41st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Buritama Sports. 45 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo da Fonseca came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Buritama Sports players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Colombia were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Mastache stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Wei Sha, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Buritama Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wang Wei Sha to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo da Fonseca in the 58th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Alexsandro Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Buritama Sports made a substitution. Nuno Fonseca replaced Gilvan de Lara. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Abram Sarmiento fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Abram Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexsandro Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Buritama Sports's Vito Senna in 72 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Pedro Manzanares guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Buritama Sports's Murilo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Abelardo da Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute Buritama Sports were awarded a corner. Doriva Souto went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Silvinho Lago at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Colombia. 4-2. 87 minutes into the match, Abelardo da Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo da Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. 93 minutes into the match, Colombia's Abram Secada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murilo Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Buritama Sports's Abelardo da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Abelardo da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. There was no doubt that Buritama Sports were the better team. Buritama Sports's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
