Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 2 minutes, Roldán Quijana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.D NARCEA and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roldán Quijana hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Germán Figueres came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, Eugeniusz Milko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, S.D NARCEA's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Germán Figueres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by S.D NARCEA's Frisco Pascua. But to his dismay, Frisco Pascua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Germán Figueres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eugeniusz Milko came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germán Figueres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Costa went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Manel Quintanilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugeniusz Milko was the one to do the kick off. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calisto Zaplana in the 54th minute of play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Germán Figueres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in S.D NARCEA's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germán Figueres came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when S.D NARCEA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roldán Quijana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, S.D NARCEA's Félix Zărnescu got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Félix Zărnescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germán Figueres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute. Pietro Macia kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Eugeniusz Milko took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
