In the 5th minute Mala Chloupek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Inko made a great header on Elohay Elohim אלוהי אלוה's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Elohay Elohim אלוהי אלוה's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mala Chloupek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mala Chloupek came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mala Chloupek scored 1-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 56th minute of play forced Elohay Elohim אלוהי אלוה's goalkeeper Eduardo Atila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Eduardo Atila in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
