With an all-out effort, RIBEIRÃO FC's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mariano Admon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gustavo Gomez Blanco struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIBEIRÃO FC. Lukáš Modrić had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. 23 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Angelo Ongile was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Admon in the 27th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Lukáš Modrić capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lukáš Modrić really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Angelo Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RIBEIRÃO FC's Lukáš Modrić was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Augusto Pontes during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes RIBEIRÃO FC got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Pontes. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukáš Modrić in the 44th minute of the match. Lukáš Modrić struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

Angelo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Lukáš Modrić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. The RIBEIRÃO FC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when RIBEIRÃO FC's Lukáš Modrić looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 69th minute, Wágner Alves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RIBEIRÃO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. 73 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Angelo Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 78th minute, João Augusto Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Angelo Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
